This primate tour package gives you an encounter with the chimpanzees in their natural habitat in Nyungwe Forest. This park also has over 300 bird species and other primate species like L’Hoest monkey, acrobatic Angola Colobus, vervet monkeys, Red-tailed Monkey, Dent’s Mona Monkey, Olive Baboon, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys. 

Day 1: KIGALI AIRPORT- NYUNGWE FOREST 

On arrival at Kigali international airport in Rwanda, you will be welcomed by the company representative. You will embark on a city tour to various sites in Kigali city. Among the sites within Kigali include Gisozi genocide memorial site, local art, craft and local market. Lunch enroute then proceed to Nyungwe forest. Overnight at Nyungwe hill view, Gisakula guest house, one and only, Nyungwe forest lodge. 

Day 2: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING 
 

 After early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on the day’s activity which is the chimpanzee tracking. You will be taken through the highlights of the day by experienced and knowledgeable ranger guides at Nyungwe forest, they will provide you with relevant information about the feeding, social and reproduction behaviours of the chimpanzees. primates include; L’Hoest monkey, acrobatic Angola Colobus, vervet monkeys, Red-tailed Monkey, Dent’s Mona Monkey, Olive Baboon, Grey-cheeked Mangabeys. Nyungwe forest also has over 300 bird species like the great blue Turaco and the Rwenzori Turaco. Return to the lodge for lunch. You can choose to spend the afternoon leisurely or do a nature walk on Lake Kivu and Gisakula tea plantation. Overnight at Nyungwe hill view, Gisakula guest house, one and only, Nyungwe forest lodge. 

Day 3: KIGALI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 

After breakfast embark on your journey to Kigali for your flight to the next destination.
