Tarangire national park is 120 km south of Arusha with about 2600 km, this hosts the highest population of elephants in Tanzania. Its sparse vegetation and dotted landscape with baobabs and acacia trees give this park an amazing atmosphere. This park rivals Serengeti in the concentration of animals during the dry season and the only place where oryx and gerenuk are regularly observed alongside other large herds of wildlife species like migratory wildebeest, zebras, impalas, elands, gazelles, elephants, famous tree climbing lions, buffaloes, leopards.
After this tour package we offer an optional 6 days ape trek of gorilla and chimpanzee tracking in Uganda, 1 day rafting on river Nile in jinja Uganda.
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park.
On your arrival at the airport in Arusha, you will be picked up by the company representative for meet and greet and safari highlights then transferred to Tarangire National Park. Check in at the lodge have lunch later in the evening embark on a photographic safari in search of different wildlife species and bird life in the acacia and dotted landscape in the northern part of the park. Dinner and overnight at Burunge tented camp.
Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara.
After early breakfast, embark on the last game drive. Later transfer to lake Mayara, this park is famous for hosting thousands of flamingos and over 400 bird species during the wet season. After checking you will have a sun set game viewing in search of different wildlife species from lions, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, impalas, elephants, zebras and many more that inhabit this park. Dinner and overnight at Manyara wildlife lodge.
Day 3: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro.
After breakfast, take an early morning game drive as you head towards the Ngorongoro crater. Ngorongoro crater is a world heritage site with an outstanding natural beauty with breath taking views of hills covered with flowers in the rainy season, while in the shuttered valleys and plains with clusters of villages which are homesteads of the Masai herdsmen. Dinner and overnight at Umali Lodge.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, embark on a full day photographic safari with picnic lunch. The diverse Landscape within the crater in which the savannah blends into swamps, forests and cliffs provides a sanctuary for lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, buffalos, wildebeest, gazelles and zebras. The crater also hots the last remaining rhinos in Tanzania and also inhabits flamingos in its alkaline crater alongside the hippos in pools of fresh water. Later transfer to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.
Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha.
Wake up at leisure, have breakfast then drive back to Arusha for your flight to the next destination. End of trip.
